Counselling
Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy can help you with such difficulties as: life or career changes, relationship problems, stress, depression, low self-confidence, identity confusion, feelings of powerlessness, and anger. People who undergo therapy may report improvements in the quality of their relationships, increased confidence and a growing ability to take risks and make changes in their lives.

Counselling. There are probably more similarities between counselling and therapy than there are differences. However, counselling tends to focus more on specific and current life issues and is quite often short-term. Psychotherapy is a more open-ended exploration of deep-rooted or recurring problems.

Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling aims to bring different therapeutic models, methods and philosophies together in a principled way. My approach integrates aspects of psychoanalytic psychotherapy with elements of Humanistic Psychology. I also incorporate in my practice some techniques of Time-Limited Dynamic Psychotherapy, which research has shown to be effective across a range of presenting difficulties.

Making An Appointment

If you would like to meet with me to discuss how psychotherapy or counselling might help you, please telephone 07981 798 165 to arrange an initial appointment. If there is no one available to take your call, you can leave a message on a confidential answer phone and I will get back to you at the earliest opportunity. Alternatively, you may e-mail me at mail@ukpsychotherapist.net. All calls and e-mails are treated as strictly confidential. The first appointment is an opportunity for us to meet and decide whether my services could be of help to you and whether you wish to book further sessions.

Fees

People in employment can expect to pay £40–45 for a 50-minute consultation, depending on individual circumstances. A limited number of lower-cost places are available to clients on lower incomes.
